Collages.

While Susan enjoyed watercolors, she discovered joy in abstract collages as a way to combine her favorite elements of design and marry together some the features of her work in various genres. Rather than clip printed papers or images from books and magazines, as is common among collage artists, Susan hand paints, stamps, sews and decorates tissue, rice and other exotic papers to create her own original paper palette for her unique collage paintings. In other pieces, Susan combines paint and hand-embellished papers in a more traditional way, while still creating abstract work.
